That will be officially confirmed when the registration statement (S-1) is filed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Market cap (valuation)<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Saudi Aramco set the record for the largest IPO in history, raising $29 billion at a valuation of about $1.7 trillion. For SpaceX, a valuation between $1 trillion and $1.5 trillion and a raise of $25 billion to $30 billion or more are being discussed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Articles based on internal simulations say most of the company's value comes from Starlink, while rocket launches and space transport are treated as an \u201coption\u201d for growth and strategic value.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Facts on the offering price and target price:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>No S-1 (the filing submitted to the U.S. SEC) or official IPO price range has been released yet.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The numbers out there are only estimates based on the \u201cinsider share sale price (around $421, for example)\u201d and the \u201ctarget market cap ($1.5 trillion),\u201d not a confirmed offering price.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>So at this point, it is impossible to state a specific \u201csubscription price or target price\u201d with certainty.\u00a0<strong>This section will need updating once the S-1 and roadshow materials come out.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"2\">2. Why is Starlink generating so much excitement?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Starlink is a \u201clow Earth orbit (LEO) satellite internet service\u201d that delivers high-speed internet to remote areas, aircraft and ships worldwide where ground-based cell towers struggle to reach. The market's excitement comes down to four main reasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>A growing subscription business with proven cash generation<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Of SpaceX's estimated total revenue of about $13.1 billion in 2024, Starlink is estimated to have contributed about $8.2 billion, or more than 60%.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tradingkey.com\/analysis\/stocks\/us-stocks\/251415133-elon-musk-spacex-ipo-tradingkey\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a>\u200b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Forecasts put revenue at about $15 billion in 2025 and as high as $22 billion to $24 billion in 2026, again driven mostly by Starlink.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Satellite internet is a subscription model with recurring monthly fees per subscriber (ARR), so it is seen as a \u201cbig-tech-style cash cow.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A market as big as \u201cthe whole planet\u201d<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Starlink already operates in more than 100 countries and territories, and if it wins approval in large emerging markets such as India, its subscriber base could grow exponentially.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Developing countries with poor ground networks, as well as airlines, shipping, military and government customers, are all potential demand.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The potential to compete or partner with telecom carriers through \u201cDirect-to-cell\u201d<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>SpaceX is pursuing a \u201cDirect-to-cell\u201d service in which Starlink satellites communicate directly with smartphones, and is seeking spectrum partnerships with carriers in various countries to make it happen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Valuations reflect the hope that if this model goes commercial, \u201cthe satellite becomes the cell tower\u201d in some regions, changing the whole paradigm of telecom infrastructure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A key turnkey piece of a space infrastructure and data center platform<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Plans have been mentioned to put IPO proceeds into space-based data centers, AI computing infrastructure, and crewed missions to the Moon and Mars (the Starship project).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In other words, Starlink is being valued on the narrative that it is not just an internet service but the data and network layer of \u201cspace computing and AI infrastructure.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"3-x\">3. How SpaceX and Starlink make money today<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SpaceX's revenue currently rests on two main pillars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Rocket launches and space transport<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Launch service contracts from governments (especially NASA and the U.S. Department of Defense) and private satellite operators.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>By sharply cutting launch costs with reusable rockets such as the Falcon 9, it has secured \u201ca near-monopoly share of the launch market.\u201d<a href=\"https:\/\/www.scientificamerican.com\/article\/spacex-could-go-public-in-2026-what-does-that-mean-for-space-exploration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a>\u200b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once Starship is fully commercial, it could generate additional revenue from high-value projects such as heavy cargo and human spaceflight, Moon and Mars exploration, and deploying satellites in bulk.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Starlink satellite internet business<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>B2C:<\/strong>\u00a0Satellite internet for individuals and households (sales of antenna and router hardware plus a monthly subscription).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>B2B\/public sector:<\/strong>\u00a0High-capacity links and dedicated services for airlines, shipping companies, businesses, and governments and militaries (battlefield communications, disaster response).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Starlink is estimated to reach more than 8 million subscribers by 2025, and subscribers and revenue grow together as the number of countries served and satellites in orbit increases.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What matters is that the two businesses strengthen each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Because it has its own launch capability,\u00a0<strong>it can launch Starlink satellites cheaply and often,<\/strong>,\u200b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and the cash Starlink earns flows back into rockets and space infrastructure, which expands into more satellites and more services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"4------ai\">4. Future goals: space infrastructure + AI + Mars<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SpaceX's medium- to long-term roadmap goes beyond space transport and looks more like an \u201cEarth and space infrastructure company.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Space-based data centers and AI computing<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>According to internal company documents and Musk's remarks, part of the IPO proceeds will go toward building \u201corbital data centers\u201d and \u201cAI computing infrastructure.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It could expand into a \u201cspace version of AWS\/the cloud,\u201d delivering AI and cloud services with low latency anywhere on Earth.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Starship + Moon and Mars projects<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Starship is a large reusable rocket and the core platform for sending humans to the Moon and Mars.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.scientificamerican.com\/article\/spacex-could-go-public-in-2026-what-does-that-mean-for-space-exploration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a>\u200b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>NASA's Artemis lunar exploration contract and test launches for future crewed Mars flights are underway, and the IPO money can be seen as \u201ccapital that keeps these missions commercially sustainable.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Becoming part of Earth's communications, navigation and surveillance infrastructure<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>One scenario holds that over the long term, the Starlink constellation could become a \u201cmulti-layer infrastructure\u201d delivering not only communications but also Earth observation, navigation, and defense and security data.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This could lead to large, long-term contracts with governments and corporations, making the revenue base even more stable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"5-----ipo\">5. For individual investors: how can you take part in the IPO?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Right now, the ways to invest directly in SpaceX and Starlink are limited. After the listing: subscription and buying (expected scenario)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Specific subscription methods will depend on the U.S. underwriters, the stock exchange and each country's regulations, but the general framework looks like this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>In the U.S.<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Investors with a U.S. brokerage account (e.g., Robinhood, Charles Schwab, Fidelity),\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>can either take part in the \u201cIPO Allocation\u201d (an advance allotment similar to a public subscription) offered by some platforms,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>or buy on listing day with a market or limit order.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasdaq.com\/articles\/2026-spacex-ipo-investors-want-buy-space-stock-theyll-get-isp-instead\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a>\u200b<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The bigger the IPO, the more shares go first to institutions and high-net-worth investors, and retail allocations are likely to be limited.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>For Korean investors<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The main route will most likely be buying directly on the U.S. market right after the listing, through an overseas stock account at a Korean brokerage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Some brokerages may offer a \u201cparticipate in overseas IPOs\u201d service, but that depends on Korean regulations and whether the brokerage has a partnership with the underwriters, so check the details after the official listing announcement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Priority allocation for Tesla shareholders?<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Musk has mentioned he is \u201cconsidering\u201d giving Tesla shareholders priority access to SpaceX shares,<a href=\"https:\/\/heygotrade.com\/en\/news\/musk-confirms-spacex-ipo-2026-targets-1-trillion-valuation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a>\u200b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>but the structure, legal feasibility and whether it will happen at all are completely undecided.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>So buying Tesla on that assumption is, for now, closer to a \u201crumor bet.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"6\">6.
